THE BRIEF
This project forms part of a larger extension, designed to create a bright, open-plan kitchen, dining and living space tailored to modern family life and entertaining. The brief called for a clean, contemporary look and feel with subtle industrial undertones, balanced by warmth and practicality. The result is a refined yet highly functional kitchen that maximises every inch of space while maintaining a calm, uncluttered feel.
THE DESIGN CONCEPT
At the heart of the design is a carefully balanced material palette that brings together soft neutrals, warm timber tones and raw concrete textures. Tall, handleless Leicht cabinetry in a muted, light Mohair finish creates a seamless architectural backdrop, allowing the space to feel expansive and uncluttered.
Positioned within the open-plan setting, the island naturally defines the kitchen while maintaining a strong connection to the dining and living areas beyond. This ensures the space feels open and sociable, allowing for easy interaction when entertaining. The cantilevered Dekton REM worktop, with its subtle veining, softens the overall look while adding a sense of understated luxury. Brushed brass accents seen in the tap and lighting introduce warmth, complementing the natural timber flooring and bar stools to create a cohesive and inviting environment.
The kitchen features Siemens iQ700 appliances which integrate effortlessly within the cabinetry, enhancing the clean, architectural look of the space. Beyond aesthetics, the Siemens range offers advanced functionality including intuitive touch controls, precision cooking technology, and smart connectivity - allowing for greater control and efficiency in everyday use.
We absolutely love our new kitchen, it’s not only beautiful but also perfectly functional for our needs.
